SLA Illinois Chapter Connecting People and Information

We have a speaker change for the October 2 meeting; Gary Price is unable to join us due to a work conflict.  We have secured another dynamic speaker for you, Nina Platt of Nina Platt Consulting and author of the Strategic Librarian blog.  Formerly Director of Information Resources at the law firm of Faegre & Benson in Minneapolis, Nina consults on strategic planning, knowledge management, competitive intelligence, and a wide range of other topics of interest to librarians of all types.  Nina will be speaking with us about managing change that libraries initiate within their own workplace.  Nina has been the recipient of SLA Innovation in Technology Award in 2003 and the MALL Law Librarianship Award that same year, and has been a popular speaker at SLA and AALL conferences and other library events.  I know we're in for an interesting and informative evening!  Our thanks to Nina for joining us!
